1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account information — your email address and display name, used to create and identify your account.
• Beekeeping data — apiaries, hives, inspection records, queen notes, harvest records, and any other information you enter into the app. This data belongs to you.
• Location (optional) — if you choose to record a location for an apiary, the app reads your device's GPS coordinates with your permission. Location is never collected in the background.
• NFC data (optional) — when you scan an NFC hive tag, the app reads only the hive identifier stored on that tag. No other NFC data is read or stored.
• Device information — basic crash and diagnostic information may be collected automatically by Firebase to help us identify and fix bugs. This does not include personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Bee Inspector app.
• To sync your data across your devices and with team members you invite.
• To send local notifications for reminders you set within the app.
• To respond to support requests you send to us.
• To diagnose bugs and improve app stability.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Team Sharing

Bee Inspector includes an optional team-sharing feature. If you share an invite code with another person, they will be able to view and edit your beekeeping data. You control who you share your invite code with, and you can revoke access at any time from the Account Settings screen.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore, hosted in Google's cloud infrastructure. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). Access to your data is restricted by Firestore security rules — other users cannot read or modify your records.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Hosting) — Firebase Privacy Policy

We do not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media services.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at support@annicastudios.com and we will process your request within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data (the app provides CSV and PDF export features for this purpose).

9. Children's Privacy

Bee Inspector is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
