16. Team Sharing

Team sharing lets multiple people manage the same apiary data under one account. Useful for family operations, beekeeping clubs, or commercial teams.

16.1 How it Works

All data is stored under one account — the owner's. Team members connect to the owner's data using an invite code, and from then on everyone works from the same apiaries, hives, and inspections.

16.2 Inviting a Team Member

  1. Go to Account → Team.
  2. Tap to copy your six-character invite code.
  3. Share the code with your co-beekeeper by text, email, or in person. Bee Inspector does not send the invitation for you.

16.3 Joining a Team

  1. Go to Account → Team and choose Join Team with Invite Code.
  2. Enter the six-character code you were given.
  3. Review the confirmation, which explains what you'll be able to see and edit.
  4. Sign out and back in once so the app switches over to the team's data.

16.4 Team Member Permissions

Team members have full read and write access. They can add inspections, notes, harvests, queens, and treatments. There is no read-only mode — all team members are treated as co-managers.

16.5 Removing a Member or Regenerating the Code

Only the account owner can do these:

16.6 Leaving or Deleting a Team

Any team member can leave: go to Account → Team and tap Leave Team at the bottom, then sign out and back in to switch back to your own data. Data you added while on the team stays under the owner's account.

Only the owner can delete a team, also from Account → Team. This removes the shared membership for everyone — it does not delete the owner's apiaries, hives, or any other data.
